Anti pixel button creator, mini blog, add your own RSS news and much more...

We have been busy tinkering with Mygetgo adding components as per the suggestions from you the users. First is the Mygetgo Anti pixel or blog style button links. These sexy little graphics that replace standard links can now be fully created by you in Mygetgo. You can design these using plain text and colours or upload images into the small little button links. Once created you can also choose to share them with the wider community - showing both your creative talent and sharing websites with others.

Mini Blog!
Many of you find the need to share your thoughts with the world and now you can do this right within the Mygetgo page by adding the mini blog module. This allows you to publish posts with images, you can format the text and even choose form 6 different funky post-it pad coloured backgrounds for each post you create. At the bottom of each post people can leave comments or grab the RSS URL and subscribe to your meanderings.


Add this
At the top of every Mygetgo we have also added an ADD THIS graphic - this will allow you and others to easily save the Mygetgo page in many of the top bookmark systems like; Del.icio.us, Facebook, Stumble upon, Digg, Furl and many more.

Behind the scenes in the Mygetgo engine we have also tinkered with lots of bits and pieces; increasing the number of images you can store in your gallery to over 100 and many other little bits you may find on your travels. You can also now add you own RSS news sources in the news modules - click on the 'edit' button of your news module and look out for the 'your news' graphic button. You can also share these RSS news feeds with the rest of the Mygetgo community.

Elemental homepages

Today we added five great new homepage themes to Mygetgo from the team. Four of these all fall into one central theme of the ELEMENTS.
We now have themes for:

Earth
Save the panet - love the planet!

Wind
Casual and relaxing soft blues to blow away the cobwebs.

Fire
An energetic 'go get em' theme.

Water
Cool, blues and moving waves of color.
All these are based around the Ying / Yang symbol hopefully bringing some much needed balance and karma to both our homepages and our lives.

The other new theme is a summer horizon with a peaceful
sailing scene for those Captain Jack’s amongst you!

Mygeto is coming along well at the moment with well over one
hundred new members a day and growing - so please use the inbuilt ecard facility or the tell a friend element on the Mygetgo site to tell your friends and grow the family.

Blogging using a Mygetgo homepage

Firstly Mygetgo is now listed on www.go2web20.net a isting of web 2.0 website and apllications. This is a great tool and funky listing of web 2.0 products and services we recommend you take a look at the creativity being born!

Well its another hot and wet month in the UK. Things are going hectic at Mygetgo with hundreds of new users each week. One of the new users shared with us what they were doing with their newly created Myegtgo page, and we thought it was ingenious so we thought we'd also share it.

One of the Mygetgo content modules - we have named 'Notepad', allows you to add text and links in the module - notes to yourself. In true 'go create' style this user changed the use and name of this module to a 'news panel' and now uses it to record his experiences in an ad hoc blog right there in his Mygetgo.

We have some great new content ideas on the discussion table that I hope to fill you in on in the near future - one of these is a secure 1 gig file storage area.

The truth is out there!
Or at least a personalised mygetgo homepage is. This is a Myegtgo created by www.crowdedskies.com - a ufo and alien site to both give its users quick links to current ufo sites and ufo news, but it also has space invaders game, Google search and other useful tools.

Mygetgo homepages - great start & new themes...

Well its been a month since we started the soft launch. People are signing-up and we are getting good comments and feedback on Mygetgo. Where we can, we have put this into place and have made some great changes to the sign-up process due to some of your comments.

Are we there yet?

Like a scene form the Simpsons you can hear 'are we there yet' every five minutes in the office as we try to work out the final glitches and get the beta Mygetgo online.

Nearly every day we add new themes and today we have:


Mocha Choca - a cool contemporary design for the seriously cool and chilled out! Full of deep soothing browns with a hint of funky text in the header.

Rappers Delight - for the 'homies' out there.
This theme design is packed with classic Hip hop style, graffiti and bags of street attitude.

So we are getting there with Mygetgo - not long now until we can roll out the first (beta) version - then we know the real work starts!

its a start...

well we are finallly nearly ready with a beta version of what we have envisioned for mygetgo.
Mygetgo is a customisable home page which allows the user to choose the look, the content and where all this goes on the page, to create the idea homepage that will launch then into the internet.

Currenly we have working;

• rss news feeds
• choose a search engine - or more than one if you like :)
• Gallery - add images and display them
• Ecard - send any of your uploaded images as ecards
• Custom themes - pick a look that is you!
• Notepad - record all those forgetful things!
• Bookmarks - the most important poart of mygetgo - a place to put those most important website limks for instant 1click access
• Buttons - for those of you with style on your mind - sexier links that are graphics

Its taken a while but we are finally getting to a stage whereby we have something that is coming together to create a fantastic tool.

Oh and why is it called mygetgo - well its a play on 'from the getgo' which means form the start :)
